Part-time Practical Nursing Instructor

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology – Dickson is accepting applications for the part-time position of Practical Nursing Adjunct Instructor at the Clarksville Campus for the Pre-Practical Nursing class.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Current Registered Nurse license in good standing in the State of Tennessee.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an RN within the last five years.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.

SKILLS:

  • Must possess the communication skills necessary to be an effective teacher.
  • Must show evidence of good character, organizational skills, and mature attitude.
  • Must be willing to remain current in the nursing profession.
  • Must possess computer skills and ability to incorporate new technology.

GENERAL DUTIES:  This part-time Adjunct Instructor is responsible for teaching and supervision of dual-enrolled high school students who are enrolled in the Pre-Practical Nursing course in both on-campus classroom/lab and off-campus clinical settings. The Pre-PN Adjunct Instructor will also be responsible for evaluating and advising students; maintaining records and completing reports; participating in the development of the course, and other duties as assigned. This position reports to the Health Careers Coordinator. This part-time position will average 20-25 hours per week and is not eligible for benefits. Scheduled classroom hours are Monday through Friday, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

SALARY:  Commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology Dickson guidelines.
