Jostens is looking for experienced machine operators to join our team of 3-Knife Trimmer Operators in our Bindery department. These cutter operators are responsible for set up of the machine in accordance with the SOP and safely changing out knives and stacking book blocks on table or skids. Additionally, the operator must run a hand pallet jack to move materials and perform basic computer skills to change machine sizes. Responsible for preventive maintenance and trouble-shooting on the machine. Attention to detail is an essential part of the job in order to meet customer expectations, productivity and quality standards. The incumbent must be willing to move around the Bindery and perform any tasks/jobs needed to achieve production goals, as assigned by their supervisor.

Qualifications:
High School degree or GED required.
Machine operator experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience with 3 Knife Trimmer, Cutter or Bindery equipment a plus.
Good communication skills – written and verbal.
Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
Must have basic computer skills.
Willing to work flexible hours and overtime with short notice.
Works well under the pressure of deadlines.
Must have flexibility to learn and use new technology.
Ability to stand while working through 8 or 12 hours shifts.
Must be flexible to work off shifts when required.
Works well in a team environment.
Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
Ability to read a ruler in 1/16’s.
Must have excellent attendance record.
Complies with all safety and operations procedures.
